Electar Tube10: sounds and settings
I only got this amp very recently (July 2003), so I haven't explored it very deeply or changed anything: speaker and valves are all stock.
I am not very impressed with the way it generally sounds, rather boxy, but I find this is largely due to the very small enclosure and the speaker. I plugged the Electar into a Jensen C8R mounted in a Fender Vibrochamp (larger cab, open back, similar amp), and it sounds A LOT BETTER.

However, this is not to say the little Electar is totally useless as it comes. hey, find me an amp this size, this compact, that sounds much better than this!

The setting below sounds pretty nice with my telecaster:
The above setting is my preferred one, with my telecaster.

Well, it's now October 2003 and I have decided this amp is really not for me. I think it has lots of possibilities if one wants to spend a little time and money in changing a few components etc... and for me it's just not worth it as I am settling with using either a J-Station or V-Amp, or a Behringer GM110 to practice at home. Would love to keep the Electar, but I'm getting rid of things I don't really use, so... that's all folks. No more about the Electar Tube10.
